5 times K-pop took over fashion magazines

K-pop is on the rise. The music genre from South-Korea has broken many records over the past year. An important aspect of K-pop and its performances has always been fashion. So it’s no surprise that K-pop idols are now often featured on the cover of representative fashion magazines.

I’m always very excited about these fashion shoots, since they often feature some great fashion pieces and try out new trends. I tried to collect some of the coolest ones of the past year.

Seventeen for Harper’s Bazaar

Seventeen for Harper's Bazaar

Starting off 2021 with some great fashion, the guys of Seventeen did a relaxed photoshoot for Harper’s Bazaar Korea. I’m in love with the waterside setting and their laid-back styles.

EXO’s Kai for ELLE

As a brand ambassador, Kai played up some of Gucci’s best Spring styles for the April 2020 issue of ELLE Korea. Being both a K-pop idol and a model, Kai knows a thing or two about great styles. Recently he even collaborated with Gucci for his very own capsule collection.

NCT 127 for Men’s Non-no

NCT 127 took on a streetstyle shoot for Men’s Non-no April 2021 issue. They showcased streetstyles from Tokyo to Seoul. And they rocked that.

BTS for Esquire

The seven guys of BTS starred on the cover of Esquire’s winter edition. I love how all of their outfits hint to their personal styles and come together as a perfect whole.

NCT’s Johnny and Jaehyun for W Magazine

The two Romeo’s of NCT took on a dreamy photoshoot for W Magazine’s May 2020 issue. Johnny and Jaehyun managed to reflect the artsy and eccentric mood of the shoot perfectly.

What’s your favourite?
